Presentation Structure: How To Wrap Your Head Around Your Presentation – Video

letyourpersonalitycomethrough

Do presentations stress you out?

Thousands of intelligent and capable professionals become stressed when they have a presentation to give. They spend days and weeks in dread as they anticipate the day marked on their calendar when they have to give a speech. They don’t know where to start or what they will even say.

A lot of the overwhelm is not due to content- most professionals know their stuff. It’s due to lack of mental structure for building presentations.

In this post, we will expand on the video above “How to Structure a Presentation,” and you will learn how to think about compelling presentations and speeches mentally; you will learn the same method all of our trainers and professional speakers at Magnetic Speaking use to build their presentations.

If after reading this post and watching this video you want more training on this with hands-on instructions and coaching, consider the Magnetic Messaging Bootcamp (full day intensive training).

The Trick: How To Structure Your Presentation

The trick is to break-up the presentation and speech into manageable pieces. All you need to know is how to break-up your talk into pieces and stack them together. The pieces are called Bits (Based on stand-up comedy) and they are also called buckets.

The bits you stack together determine what kind of a presentation you make. You could build an effective sales presentation, an informative technical briefing, a project update or even a mini-workshop. With this tool, creating presentations becomes as easy and as fun as building Lego models.

Every speech or presentation has a combination of the following 3 bits (you don’t have to use all of them):

  1. Opening Bit: A bit that grabs your audience’s attention and never let’s go.
  2. Body Bits: A group of bits designed to fill the body of the talk. I recommend 1-4 bits
  3. Closing Bit: A bit that closes your presentation with a memorable and powerful bang.

Bit Structure Technology Resource:

It took me years to come up with this Bit Structure Technology. It will take a lot more articles and videos to explain it all. If you want to learn it right away and can’t wait to start applying it, then consider taking the Magnetic Messaging Bootcamp. There, you will learn the whole structure and how to use it to build presentations with ease, grace, and confidence.

After the boot camp, you will be able to build presentations using the shortcuts, tools, and bit technology used by professional trainers who speak in front of audiences for a living.
